Arch support and insoles (and numb toes)

Hi all,

Been having various issues that I'm getting to the bottom of recently. I have discovered that my feet over pronate which rings true with when I used to run. This apparently has a knock on effect on long rides.

So quick question to those that know - you guys!

What insoles could I try that don't take up much room but provide decent arch support?  I ride in Sidi Eagle MTB shoes.  I've been recommended superfeet but cannot work out which colour.  So gas anyone been grouch the same and what did you end up doing?

Cheers.

Jv

I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and was given some insoles by my podiatrist. The insoles did not work in all my shoes and I got blisters on my heels. I was in a lot of pain and could not exercise or even go for a walk. I saw an ad for orthofeet insoles online and I was interested. I was so excited to get my pair because of all the great reviews and I was hopeful that they would work for me also. From day 1 they were amazing, so comfortable, no pain when walking or exercising. My plantar fasciitis has even improved and now I am interested in trying different orthofeet styles not just for exercise.

Is this an advert, csorthofeet? Personally my physio did more for my plantar faciitis than any insoles. I find it quite a coincidence that your user name is the same as a product that you're promoting.

What are the chances of that?

I'm off to strip some paint now, I always use

used the Giro ones to some effect, but ended up with G8 as I needed slightly

forward and slightly up more than the Giro's could give me. The Supafeet ones work

ok in walking footwear but not (as I discovered/read) in cycling shoes.

Wish I'd seen that Giro kit a year ago!

I ended up getting the G8 Performance Insoles, 5 different levels of arch support, and the ability to micro-adjust the position of the arch within the insole. £80 though. At least you know that if you can't get the right position/support with the G8, then it's not the insole that's the problem...

I use Giro Footbed Kit. Includes 3 Sets of arch support (Low, Med, High). Shop round, prices vary.

I've got these Sole heat mouldable insoles, which are nice and thin, but give me support across the whole of my foot

Shop around, you can finf them cheaper than this
