Garmin 810 Elevation Issue – Any Cures I’ve Missed?

In brief, my 810 is constantly giving me around 15-20%(ish) extra elevation per ride compared to my ride companions which is doing my nut.

I’ve my home elevation set and don’t know what else to do bar a factory reset.

Is there anything I can do to the head unit? I know I can do the Strava Elevation thing but I’d sooner the head unit recorded correctly.

It’s calibrated to my home height, 176m above sea level.

Also, don’t forget its barimetric, thus will have some sensitivity to the weather.

I’ll look at that when I get home.

    Huge variations in recording

Huge variations in recording of elevation, even by people doing the same ride or race at the same time, is the main reason I’ve resisted buying one of these overpriced toys.

    My 820 does the opposite…

My 820 does the opposite….nearly always 15% lower….does my nut ! Gradient readout also goes off the ball. Only way I can see is Manually get Strava to adjust it all very irritating ! Hoping for a firmware update but Garmin don’t seem to be bothered with customer complaints …..
