Roubaix vs Alternatves
Hi everyone,
Last year I built up a KTM Revaltor Sky . It was meant to replace a 2006 S-Works Roubaix. However riding both back to back I find the Roubaix more comfortable and more responsive to pedal input.
As such I'm now looking to transplant the KTM parts onto another 'endurance' carbon disc frame. Living where I do it is very hard to test any bikes. Instinct tells me to get a newer Roubaix frame, even the non S-Works frames seem to be of a higher grade of carbon (10r) than my old Roubaix (which was 9r) which , when combined with an improved design, should theortically be better.
Any riders out there? Other bikes on the shortlist are Domane SLR, Bianchi Infinito CV and Synapse Hi-Mod.

I think they did, from memory back in the 70s/80s... haven't seen one for years though, our current milkman uses a standard van, albeit hybrid.

I believe that straight forks that are used on carbon frames are more dangerous than the old steel forks because they are more rigid, the old steel...

That's true enough. But doesn't address my point that the chainset you get as a replacement will not physically fit chainrings from the chain set...

1) I'd love to see anyone tell an EV driver that they shouldn't be on the road or move out of the way because they pay less VED....

Bought Road Bike Action ..good article and opinions.
I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting names of competitive rags.

If you can locate an April 2018 print issue of Road Bike Action magazine it has a very good write-up comparying the 2018 Roubaix and 2018 Domane. Unfortunaley the article is not online at this time.
