Edinburgh bike shop recommendations
Morning all,
I live in north west Edinburgh and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of a good, trustworthy bike shop? I have a Cannondale with a Praxxis BB converter and it's started to click a little (I appreciate this is probably quite a common occurrence but it will do my sanity no good if it continues) but have only recently moved here and don't know where to go. Ideally it would either be somewhere close to home (Cramond) or work (pretty central) but willing to make the extra effort for somewhere good.

I repurposed a bent rear derailleur hanger into a keyring. It's very useful, and you can use it to open bottles of beer.

It's been 3 years or so since I was in Edinburgh, but they were my go-to workshop. No nonsense or flannel, and reliable. Also open 8am - 8pm weekdays, so I'd often drop the bike off before work and collect afterwards.
As Unconstituted says, they got very busy so you may need to book in ahead.
Quite a few good places in Edinburgh but the bicycle works guys are my fav. Met two of the mechanics, both cool. Dead quick in my experience - I've had jobs done in a few hours. They're busy too.. Anyway, they really know their stuff. Importantly, won't try to rip you off.
