The social world of racing cyclists explained - sociologically

My name is Tony Rees - I am a racing cyclist (Team for 2017 - Brother/NRG/DriverPlan) - I am also a sports sociologist who researches racing cyclists. I have been doing a PhD on the sociology of racing cyclists in training and I have just started to convert my thesis in to a blog - HERE  http://www.theraceforthecafe.com/p/about.html - hopefully forum members will find something interesting.

Thanks for posting Tony. Where did you do your degree and your PhD?

Is there any background material around that would serve as an intro for newbies or people like me, who dabbled in Sociology many years ago?
