ANT+ dongle or hard wire

Can I hard wire my turbo trainer using my Garmin 800 and transmit to the usb port rather than using an ant dongle stick

Do you mean connect the 800 to a usb cable straight into your pc? and 'transfer' the data from your sensors straight into the pc via the garmin?

If that's what you mean ...then - no.

Of course it doesn't have to be a Garmin ANT+ dongle, any ANT+ dongle will work. Dozens of sellers selling other branded ones on eBay. (I have an Adidas one for example)

I am not aware of turbo trainers with usb connection. Ant+ or Bluetooth is the norm. Which trainer do you have?
