Yep you'll need the dongle in that case
Do you mean connect the 800 to a usb cable straight into your pc? and 'transfer' the data from your sensors straight into the pc via the garmin?
If that's what you mean ...then - no.
Yea thats what I meant 800 to computer with mini usd to large usb lead.I think I'll have to buy a Garmin ant dongle!
Of course it doesn't have to be a Garmin ANT+ dongle, any ANT+ dongle will work. Dozens of sellers selling other branded ones on eBay. (I have an Adidas one for example)
I am not aware of turbo trainers with usb connection. Ant+ or Bluetooth is the norm. Which trainer do you have?
