For short & medium-length rides I use Sudocrem next to the skin and a squirt of Boots Derma Care Daily Moisturising Cream (base ingredients similar to DZ Nuts chamois cream) on the chamois - a very cost-effective solution for me.
For longer rides (3 hours or more) I use Assos, because it lasts very well for hours in the saddle.
So does Savalon Cream although it is a bit thin.
Sudocrem works
I use the Assos occasionally and it does leave your balls feeling like you've dipped them in a cup of liquid nitrogen for a few minutes after you apply it .
Yeah, I love that. I got the missus' her own tub after trying it. She gets a kick out of it too.
Wonder what it is that causes it..
Chemical reaction
If you find a chamois cream you like, stick with it.
I've just replaced some lovely Chapeau stuff with Assos. Unfortunately for me the Assos stuff doesn't like me and I end up with very itchy testicles. I have to sleep with a cold pack on my ball bag.
pics lmfao
I wholeheartedly agree with Simon E. Use emusifying ointment if you want to turn your privy area into painful junk.
"Emulsifying ointment is a mixture of paraffin oils"

I'd not put that stuff on my skin then ride a bike for several hours!
