I was once eating lunch on top of the Cioch, a pinnacle in Skye, when a bloke arrived and took his Jack Russell out of his rucksack. "Its OK up to about easy diff. (a low grade of rock climb) but then it has to go in the sack." he told me. "Also the gabbro (the rock of which the Cuilin is made) is wearing its pads thin.

I've seen someone who put a terrier in an open pannier - looked insane but the dog seemed to love it.
I've seen a Buddyrider on eBay - this would be ideal IF it worked on my road bike. However, the TT probably doesn't have enough clearance - it needs 48cm+ and I'm around a cm short. Plus, I have short arms.

If you edit your original post, I bet you've put your intended post in the first big text box (I think it's called 'summary'). You're not the first and won't be the last... (I did it too).
Thanks! Edit done.
Glad to help although I'm afraid I can't help on the dog carrier question
My post doesn't seem to be showing, but in summary, I may be inheriting a Shih Tzu and am looking at carriers to get him to the vet and short rides. Rear preferred.
