I’ve had a PX before… and had problems. They dealt with the problems in every instance, however sending a frame back to an online shop, waiting for it to be re-stocked/checked then waiting for the new frame sent out took ages. In one case it was over 6 weeks as they had to wait for the frame to arrive from China. In the end, I got frustrated and (as much as I really liked the PX frame I had) I got rid of it and went into my LBS and bought a Cervelo S2 frame set (the older black/red model). That got a hairline crack around the BB (cosmetic according to all sources – LBS/Cervelo/other owners) and the warranty frame – an updated S2 – was with me in less than a week. They offer a lifetime guarantee. Service was faultless and contact was great through the process, a nice change after spending a lot of time chasing PX for updates. This was a couple of years ago so they may have addressed these issues.

I’d recommend the S2 based on experience, it’s a fantastic bike. I got mine as a frame set so transferred all my Sram Force & wheels onto it (along with a Rotor 3D+ crank), I imagine it rides slightly differently with 105 and RS010 wheels. These can, however, be upgraded quite easily.

hi if you could afford the cervelo frame seperate, planet x have a whole bike with full dura ace. you could buy that and swap the dura ace plus all the other bits onto cevelo frame, plus a frame for a winter bike if you wanted, or you could try to sell it.
