GT Grade Alloy 105 - Mudguards

I've just ordered the 2016 GT Grade alloy 105 online.  (£850 from Sunset Cycles)!!!!

What mudguards would people recommend for it? I'm using SKS Raceblades on my cross bike at the moment, and although they do a job, they sometimes come loose.

The mudguards on the GT will probably be a permanent fitting, but I'm unsure which to look at.

Any advice from GT Grade riders?

I have some Bontrager ones on my Grade. Work very well although not the prettiest. Do not lose the rear seat stay bridge for fitting guards that ships with your Grade- you'll need it

I bought the LifeLine Narrow Road Mudguard Set, black 42 mm, for my carbon GT Grade. It takes a while to fit but works fine.

I've just bought a Pinnacle Arkose which is pretty similar. I wanted to have SKS wides on there, and to do that I would need to cut a small bit out of them where the front derailleur cable comes up from the BB. Your bike looks like it has a similar style. In the end I went for Bontrager NCS Mountain guards (https://www.evanscycles.com/bontrager-ncs-mountain-mudguards-EV138151?es...).

They're a bit more pricey but feel pretty secure, are a lot simpler to adjust that the SKS ones (just need an allen key, rather than an 8mm spanner and lots of swearing) and the clearance is fine - in fact looks like you could go up to a 40mm tyre (I have 35mm on). Like you mine are permanent and they feel good.
