Wide wheels

    Hi,

I’ve just put a set of Ultegra 6800 wheels on my Boardman bike, replacing the Mavics which came with it.

The back wheel is fine, but the front wheel doesn’t spin as freely, as the hub seems to be (slightly) impeded by the forks.

Am I doing something wrong? It doesn’t seem too much of a problem, but just a bit odd?

    has anyone any ideas?

    thanks

Are you sure it’s the hub and

Are you sure it’s the hub and fork?  If it’s a wider wheel the brake will need adjusted.  Can’t envision any scenario where a properly assembled and mounted hub would hit the fork.

That does seem wierd that it would be happening, my only suggestion would be bringing it to a bike shop and see what they say before you try and fix it yourself and possibly do something wrong.

    Hub rubbing on the forks

Hub rubbing on the forks sounds very bizarre.  Can you post a picture?
