An enjoyable start to the season!  Sadly Pelucchi cost me a 200-point badge on Stage 1 and a terrible case of brain fog caused me to miss out on a Mountain and Tour Top 20 badge as I inexplicable failed to choose Porte for Stage 5!

Anyway happy with 30th place.

Pretty pleased overall though, 2nd in Purist & 2nd in the Standard. I guess the rest of theseason is going to be a disappointment after that.

Congrats Triccky100, I saved three transfers for the last day and went with Wippert instead of Nizzolo, debated it long and hard and the 6 points was the differnce at the end of the day, nice to know that it was in my own hands.  I’d have settled for 2nd at the start however, so no moaning. 30th in purist not quite so good but actually I’m ecstatic with my start to the season. Don’t imagine I will still be up there at these heady heights come the sharp end of the season but I wish you well for continued success and all the rest of the guys too.

Great work adholman. Very happy with my tour, 1st in standard and 5th in purist! Hopefully its not all downhill from here…

I suppose we will know how good Ewan is when he is up against the big guns in the TDF, will be fun to watch!
