Flat bar and Campagnolo

My wife does not get on with the drop bars on her bike and i’m looking to convert it to a flat-bar set up. Problem is, she has Campagnolo Veloce (10 speed), so I am guessing the options are limited.

I know Campag do produce a flat bar shifter/brake lever which would be pefect, but for the price – virtually double that of regular Veloce units – so I am wondering if anyone has successfully used other brand shifters (i.e. less costly ones) with Campag mechs??

    Many thanks

I did this conversion a couple of months ago on a Bianchi Nirone 7 with veloce flat bar levers… it works beautifully.

I couldn’t find a cheaper way of doing it… Or indeed any other way of doing it while retaining the rest of the drivetrain.

Ribble are currently doing them for £97.
