Giant Defy Warranty

My 2011 aluminium Giant Defy 2 frame developed a crack around the weld at the seatpost/top tube. I've taken it to my nearest Giant store with the receipt and they have been dealing with the warranty for me and Giant have agreed to give me a new frame. What I'm wondering is should I be getting a frameset with matching forks or would I be expected to use my old forks with just a replacement frame? The new frame is the 2015 one which is silver and my old one is black/blue/grey so it's going to be an odd mix! Does anyone have any experience with warranties and what should I expect minimum? Thanks in advance...

They are usually shipped as boxed framesets anyway so I'd be quite surprised if they don't send you a full new frameset.

It might be worth you politely querying your local store. I'm sure they won't want a dissatisfied customer and i don't think you are being unreasonable to expect a matching frame and fork.

I have had a similar experience with a frame warranty and had similar concerns but the replacement came as a full frameset. It wasn't a giant, but giant have a good rep for warranty issues as far as I am aware.
