All the bikes are built in batches so once a batch sells out the date goes out to the next batch. The Endurace has been extreamly popular so is now on its 3rd or 4th release hence the May lead time.

I was looking for the Endurace. ...same long wait...so went with a 2016 Giant Defy Advanced 2 instead (105)...offered to me straight away with €200 off the list price (S- tec) making it €1500 from Germany....which is a great deal...considering in Ireland the cheapest I've seen is around €1850....at least with the Giant I can test ride before buying...the Canyon is a lucky dip...no chance of testing before buying for me...
I'm quite close to ordering a Canyon, as there isn't much else that can match them at the price point. But the fact that they are quoted a May 2016 delivery, which seems likely to slip, is a dealbreaker.
To be honest, sizing is fairly unimportant when I ordered a bike in August for September delivery, I was let down repeatedly with the latest quoted date of March 2016. Needless to say, I have just cancelled and bought a Cannondale.
Two and a half Grand.
