It seems like work is progressing well on a Tameside closed road circuit, coming on for next summer. They talk a lot about clubs and youth events, but what about older kids? I am thirty eight and a half. When can I have a go? Anyone know how much and when they have public sessions on the Olympic track in that London?

I was telling my friend that it will probably be full of overweight middle-aged strava wannabees, powering around and hogging the road, so I would like to get on there early and set a time, as I doubt I would get into the top one hundred otherwise.

    Lee Valley Velopark road

Lee Valley Velopark road circuit is £5 a go.  https://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/en/content/cms/london2012/velo-park/road/#payandride

It’s really important that you pay your £5 too, even if the reception staff are completely disinterested, and don’t just hop over the fence from the carpark.  No, really don’t do that, it’s very naughty.

Hmm, well serves me right for expecting up to date info from none cycling friends. Still, says it is only open for 6 hours a week! Lee Valley is only open 12 hours most days.

Even the slightest bit of googling revealed it opened in June THIS year, and there’s pay-and-play sessions.
