    Hi,

I’ve recently started using a pannier rack for my commutes with a Carradice Super C rack top bag and its much better than having a rucksack on however I’m looking to also buy some panniers for the days when I have more stuff to carry.

Using a Carradice im thinking of sticking with the brand as the quality is excellent. I dont need anything too big (about 20l) which is why I’m looking at the Carradry universal panniers. Ive had a look online and I cant see many recent reviews so was wondering if anyone has used them? If so what do you think of them: http://www.carradice.co.uk/index.php?page_id=product&product_id=48

The only other brand/model I’m considering is the Ortlieb Velo shopper. These look really nice but they are much more expensive. Again does anyone have any experience of these? http://www.evanscycles.com/products/ortlieb/velo-shopper-pannier-single-ec106297

Thanks in advance for your thoughts/feedback

    I have Carradice Super C

I have Carradice Super C panniers and have found the quality lacking- they’ve been sent back to Carridice twice for repairs as the stiching on the straps of both bags came undone (twice) and they fixed them with rivets rather than stiching, which looks cheap and ugly. Personally I’d go with the Ortlieb.  As much as I want to support a Britsh company I don’t think their panniers are up to scratch.
