Anybody noticed the new 2016 colnago c60 frames have some suspicious updates? I’ve had nothing but problems with my c60 and v1-r from new, the threaded bottom bracket update has some washer type plates either side of the crank arms, possibly to stop creaking/clicking noises that both mine have been plauged with. I’ve been through numerous different wheels, cassettes, had the bb area stripped out and cleaned but it’s just not fit for purpose design, very poor from Colnago. My lbs mentioned they had faced/roughed up the surface on the area concerned but it’s just sooo bad riding either bike when out the saddle. I’m using shimano di2 not campag.

What updates? My C60 is deathly silent. It’s a good bike.

Admittedly, I am big fan of an old school threaded BB, but in this case it seems an isolated incident.

It’s definitely the bottom bracket area, wait till you’ve done a few thousand miles, clearly not fit for purpose, colnago are making false claims and trying to sneak out the update to new frames. Unless of course you’ve had your aluminium sleeve insert completely locked in with locktight you could be lucky for a while yet…

It’s quite possible your clicking isn’t the BB. Mine turned out to be the seat one time and the headset another.

My 2015 C60 disc has been fault free/dream to ride for the last 1000 miles, no clicks, creaks etc…

    Buy yourself a nice metal
Buy yourself a nice metal frame with an English threaded bottom bracket and all your woes will be gone!
