I have just bought a Vulpine Storm Cap (not the thermal fleecy one, just the standard one). I wear a 60cm hat (a hard hat, a bowler), so I bought a ‘medium’ Storm Cap (listed as 59-61 cm).

This is the first cycling cap I’ve bought, so my question is how snugly it should fit. When I put it on it feels very snug, and I cannot get a finger between the cap and my head. Are cycling caps supposed to be very close fitting, or should I send it back and ask for a ‘large’?

I made the opposite mistake

I made the opposite mistake when I bought one- bought a large which was too loose. They were very swift and helpful in getting it changed.

UPDATE: I passed the query to Vulpine themselves. Got a reply by email within minutes of completing their online ‘contact me’ form, and have arranged to return the cap and trade it for a ‘large’ sized one.
