Thru axles

I have just bought a Focus Mares (which I love). Looking to upgrade the wheels at some point, but a bit confused by this thru axle business. Can any hubs be converted or do I need to build my own wheels?! Any advice would be much appreciated! Cheers, Steve

You may find that you need to
You may find that you need to use MTB hubs and build your own (using road spokes and rims). Light ones are available – look at Hope, Superstar and similar. Be careful of the width 🙂
