Best bike for racing around £1500

I'm looking to upgrade from my giant Defy 5 to a racier machine for youth races, cries etc. Wheels don't matter as I will be putting my scirocco 35mm on. I've looked at the giant propel advanced 1, would it be recommended or any other suggestions

I have a rose xeon rs with 105 groupset and mavic equipe wheels, for £1100 you are probably not at a disadvantage against most bikes you will race against. Being alloy it will probably fare better with crashes too.
