Front Wheel Replacement

Hi,

My indestructable Alex Rims Race 24s on my pinnacle dolomite 2 got destroyed (front only) when I collided with something (don't ask)

Anyway, now I need to replace it but can't find anything like for like, the bike is from 2013, and isn't expensive and I plan to upgrade next summer and keep this as a winter bike.

I've read to be very careful mixing and matching wheels, but on a low budget I don;t want to replace the entire set just because I buckled the front one - i need something that's built and ready to go - what should I be looking at - realistically not looking to spend more than £70.

I've seen this from the same manufacturer,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/alex-SL22-rim-formula-sealed-cartridge-bearing...

I run scwalbe marathon plus tyres on the bike, as it's a bit more of a rugged tourer than a racer.

Thanks for any advice,

R501 is a good, no-nonsense wheel (£45):

You could do worse than a Giant PR-2, like this one:

They are OE fit on Defy models, made by DT Swiss.

There's no reason why you need to match wheels apart from superstition or aesthetics. It should be easy enough to find a factory built wheel for under £70, the one you have linked to looks decent as long as it's well built
