Which Bike under £1,000???

I am just about to buy a new road bike and have a budget of up to £1,000 - cycle to work scheme!! I need a bike that will get me through longer weekend rides and ultimately see me through the Ride100 in August.

I have looked at Ribble bikes, they seem to get good reviews, and also the Specialized Allez range but was wondering what peoples thoughts were on the best bike for my needs. 7 7 7

thanks

Giant Defy 0 for cycle to work scheme.

I find the 2014 defy 0 has better components. They are all ultegra in 2014 but 2015 they have some 105 mixed in. hmmmm

You can get 2015 for 899 with £100 discount already.
