Im not sure what version of Di2 (ultegra) I can put on a 2013 Tarmac.

Any experts here know? I just bought the frame second hand and trying to figure it out.

They should run internally
They should run internally just over the top of the BB, and you shove the junction box forward up the down tube. After getting everything in place you can then fit the BB and chainset

They’re pretty comprehensive. Also, my experience is with the 10sp Ultegra Di2, not 11sp, but the principles are the same.

Thanks, I just have no idea abut Di2 or even how I’m going to feed the wires down.
I would like to put ths battery in the seatpost so its nice and neat. Thanks for the tip on the DA front box. That makes sense.

Looking the the Specialized archives I think it will work. One version of the Tarmac has Di2: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/archive/2013/tarmac/tarmacsl4expertui2midcompact (you can supersize the image and see how the wires enter).

Basically there’s not much difference between the internal/external set bar the junction box at the BB and battery considerations. Have a look for mounting points for the batter around the BB. If none you can mount one on a cage or internally in the seatpost.

Fitting the Di2 is fairly easy. I did mine 🙂

Digging a bit more it looks like you either have an ugly external battery or pony up and get the internal battery: http://www.cyclingnews.com/reviews/specialized-s-works-tarmac-sl4-di2-review

Note, if you have the internal battery it’s worth considering the DA front junction box (the one by the stem) as you can recharge the battery from there without removing the seatpost/battery.
