Rear light help needed...

The other night my partner was out riding when she saw another cyclist with a rear light that 'projected a big red circle on to the ground'.

Any idea which light it might be? I'd like to get her one for Christmas... Who says romance is dead eh?

Richard.

Or possibly one of these

or an Exposure TraceR? I'm completely red while following club mates with those!

My microdrive died after one week of use, I have sent it back for a replacement though.

it wont be this one, but the Moon Shield 60 is great in the way it radiates light, also the Leyzne micro drive is very good too!

Agree w redvee, many of the brighter rear lights do this if pointed down in error.

I'm thinking of putting an empty plastic 2ltr milk jug onto the back of my rear light, as a diffuser - it'll make a very big flashing area. It'll all strap on the rear rack. You can have this idea, in a spirit of xmas sharing! Make sure you wrap it well though, if you fancy getting your partner an old milk jug for xmas!

A lot of bright rear lights would project a red circle onto the road if angled as such, similar to the white circle you see from front lights I guess.
