Just checked my KMC X11L on my Chorus set up, and it’s on the verge of going past the point of taking the cassette with it (as well as making a hell of a lot of noise).
Not really keen to pay the £30 for a KMC to kill over the winter, so was debating getting a 105 11S for over the winter (Sacrilegious I know!).
Read a few articles online (Zinn etc.) and KMC don’t have Campag/Shimano/Sram specific chains, just 11S, so it all points to the fact it should work, But has anyone actually done it?

    The only difference between
The only difference between the chains is the width. More gears require narrower chains, you will be fine with a generic “11 speed” chain.

They all work fine…I have used various 10speed iterations across groupsets.
The same is true for 11 speed. You can also use a 10 speed quicklink with 11s, nothing spontaneously explodes.
