leicester – welford rd roadspace reallocation 2 wheeled charm offensive – tonight

    for anyone in the leicester area, there is a demo happening tonight in support of the reallocation of one lane of welford road to be made into a permanent segregated cycle and pedestrian lane.

    The plan is to occupy the closed lane between 5:00pm and 6:30pm and display a selection of placards which point out the benefits of taking space away from cars and building bike lanes. You can come along between the 2 times and the initial meeting point is the junction of Welford Road and Norton Street (near Shivalli restaurant).

    please try and come along if you are in the area, you don’t need to be on a bike to do so as it will be a static demonstration.
