Good people of road.cc
I have a dilemma.
In a few weeks my work cyclescheme opens, and I’m able to add to the stable of bikes.
Currently I have a SS/Fixie which I use for my commute (6/11 miles each way dependent on route). I love the bike but a knee injury means I’m now on gearing that – while easy to ride – I’m being overtaken by my 3yo on his balance bike. I also have a downhill bike and a custom hardtail (I’m a MTBer at heart).
So, I’d like a nice road bike for Sunday rides, the occasional commute and general tinkering in the garage.
I’m thinking steel with a carbon fork. I like the skinny tubes. I want something that’s pretty without being a racked up tourer with dynamo light etc.
Any recommendations out there?
