First thing I thought when I saw the result was damn, TER’s got both of those, but I had Stuyven only. Got rid of Hofland but Boonen’s puncture may have cost me a few points. Gilbert finally got some points after I dumped him as well. You never know with those two!

I was always going to make a mistake or two, you could say that the fact I brought in Martens when I did and Mondory when I did makes up for it, when others didn’t, and if Damino goes well today, then who knows. Gilbert is so up and down this season its so hard to tell

66th on the stage puts me
66th on the stage puts me 29th overall, must be my highest in a Grand Tour but still 80 behind Mr Ratcliffe. Make that 90 including the ten pens I’ve taken for tomorrow…

I think Gkam, a couple of years ago, used to put up fake teams , if I remember correctly. We’d find out the next day, of course, that he really hadn’t put up the team he ‘shared’ previously… ‘Uncle Orli’ would approve…

I guess we will see tmw then.

Im likely to keep the same team for 7, as I have Degenkolb, Martens and Monodry still, as well as Reynes, and that then gives me 2 transfers to bring in Bouhanni + another for stage 8 and be able to get rid of them + 2 other transfers for stage 9…
You’ve got a strategy that just might keep your challengers at bay… Who’s doing the updating you or dave?…

    I basically have my two
I basically have my two transfers ive brought in + Martin and Caruso who I expect to go well tomorrow, and hopefully Mas in the break.

Im likely to keep the same team for 7, as I have Degenkolb, Martens and Monodry still, as well as Reynes, and that then gives me 2 transfers to bring in Bouhanni + another for stage 8 and be able to get rid of them + 2 other transfers for stage 9.

Take off my 10 penalties and I still have a 41 point buffer over 2nd, and if my transfers in place well, im likely to still be pushing the top after tomorrow even if I don’t lead, as anyone who did well today and is near the top is likely to need a penalty or two as I doubt they have 6 saved up (as you have 6, but are nearly 200 behind, so your not gonna make that up in 1 stage)

Oh had I kept my team the same as stage 4 and not brought in Caruso and Martin, id have won the stage by 6 points, would have lead by 85 points, and had 2 transfers saved. That decision could end up costing me the vuelta, a long way to I know, but its always the small decisions like that

not to bad today with 1,3,11,13 +mas and martin. 6 changes for tomorrow with no penalties.

Now that worries me! Alot! 6 free transfers 😕

makes me question how to play this

I picked my team for stage 2 onwards and as luck would have it they have done quite well hence the build up of transfers. They’ve all gone now so penalty time shortly i think.
