there in August…looking to have bike for 10 day hire…decent road bike do a couple of hours a day…anyone recommend a bike hire company and / or some interesting routes as never been before, like hilly terrain or not as needed! Thanks in advance!

Ok, no idea on road bikes,
Ok, no idea on road bikes, but if you do any MTB I recommend ‘The Mountain Bike Adventrue’ especially the shuttles he does, 10k downhill!

On road riding, you can make a good 100k day riding to the Cabe Di San Vincente (westerly most point of continental europe) and back, there is a hard to follow back lane route (the Eco via do algarve) but it was very hard to follow when I did it, there’s a pretty straight highway out and back with plenty of climbing/coffee/ views, possible by visiting the villages on the coast road, Burgau in particular…
