Well hectic last 5km and I’ve picked up 2nd and 4th , is it enough to take top spot? 😕

    Hooray! Thanks Enrique, good
Hooray! Thanks Enrique, good job. I thought picking Castroviejo ahead of Lobato as my second Movistar rider would cost me, but just managed to hang on.

I have confetti in my hair now though. Although I did manage to pinch the arse of a podium girl.

Me – but I didn’t realise he’ll be doing a lot of track this year so we won’t see him much on the tour

I always leave it late! Pretty happy with that, and the overall, given that mine was one of the cheaper teams. Guardini and Ratto both paid off (hoping for a big season from Ratto this year).

It’ll be interesting to see how much form will carry over for those riders going straight to Qatar. I do get the feeling that form is a big part of performance in these ‘warm-up’ (in both senses) races; I still don’t believe most riders take these races seriously at all (nor San Luis, TDU a little more), despite the HC categorization.

Good to see Van Baarle and Hansen really stepping up :)

I have to disagree ppl would have picked kit, cav and/or Sagan and in a lot of cases ppls scores would have been very different

I actually think a rule like that made ppls picks more interesting tbh
