Shane Stokes has written about pro cycling for over 25 years, covering grand tours, world championships, Classics and other major events. He’s written for Velo, Cyclingnews, CyclingTips, Procycling, Sticky Bottle, VeloNation and other international outlets. He’s also been the Irish Times cycling correspondent for over two decades and appeared regularly on that country’s national broadcaster RTE in analysing the sport.

When not writing about cycling he’s happiest in nature on a sunny day, particularly with a dog or two for company.
