The Prestaflator GO is a compact electric inflator pump designed for easy use and quick inflation. It delivers a broad pressure range and competitive battery life, though its lack of an additional hose means it’s only compatible with Presta valves without a separate hose purchase.

Prestacycle Prestaflator GO – Technical Information
The Prestaflator GO features an anodised aluminium body paired with a robust silver metal push-on valve connector. Out of the box, it’s compatible only with Presta valves, though an optional £6 hose expands compatibility to Schrader valves and various other Prestacycle accessories, such as the Disc Wheel Mini Presta Head. The pump is rated to 120 PSI (8.27 bar) and weighs 152g. The main red section of the pump measures 75 x 50 x 30mm, with the valve connector adding a further 20mm in length. Power comes from two internal 750mAh cells. Unlike some competitors, the GO doesn’t include a silicone case, which is often provided with portable pumps to reduce heat transfer during use, and it can increase grip slightly.

Prestacycle Prestaflator GO – Performance
To assess the Prestacycle Prestaflator GO’s real-world performance, we ran a series of timed inflation tests to evaluate both speed and battery life. Using an inner tube to reduce air loss, we tested the pump on a 29 x 2.4in mountain bike tyre and a 700 x 45mm gravel tyre, recording the time taken to reach 25 PSI and 30 PSI respectively. Each inflation was timed, and we also noted the final pressure reached on the last inflation before the battery was depleted. Prestacycle Prestaflator GO results:
29 x 2.4in MTB tyre to 25 PSI:
- Inflation 1: 1 minute 36 seconds
- Inflation 2: 1 minute 43 seconds
- Inflation 3: 1 minute 15 seconds
- Inflation 4: Reached 20 PSI before shutting off
700 x 45mm gravel tyre to 30 PSI:
- Inflation 1: 58 seconds
- Inflation 2: 1 minute 4 seconds
- Inflation 3: 1 minute 10 seconds
- Inflation 4: 1 minute 15 seconds
- Inflation 5: 1 minute 18 seconds
- Inflation 6: Reached 8 PSI before shutting off
The Prestaflator GO also produced 78 dB of noise when measured at a distance of one metre, roughly in line with other electric inflators, which are all quite loud in operation. The pumps tested to date have all measured between 74 and 78dB.

What sets the Prestaflator GO apart from other pumps is its simplicity. When used with a Presta valve, operation is straightforward. Simply position the valve at 12 o’clock, push the pump onto it, set the desired pressure, and press the start button. The clear display and intuitive button layout make it easy to use, and since you don’t need to hold the pump during inflation, the process feels effortless, and it automatically shuts off when the set pressure is reached.
While the GO isn’t designed to seat tubeless tyres, it can help in situations where a small leak is present by allowing you to hold the bead in place while the inflator does the rest. The only situation where you might need to hold the pump in place is when using non-threaded Presta valves, occasionally found on tubular tyres and certain inner tubes.
Prestacycle doesn’t include an extension tube with the inflator, so it’s only compatible with Presta valves out of the box. However, an extension tube is available for £6, which replaces the standard valve connector and includes a Schrader fitting.
This also enables compatibility with other Prestacycle adapters, such as the disc wheel attachment or other hard-to-reach valves. While I did not test the pump with any inner tubes that have a plastic valve stem, if you use TPU tubes that have plastic valves, this is something to be aware of, and I would recommend using an extension tube for these.

The colour battery indicator displays green or red, though in testing, the red only appeared when the battery was nearly flat, offering limited warning.
As with other aspects of the design, there’s no silicone cover included, although Prestacycle may add this in future. Silicone sleeves help reduce heat transfer to your hand after use, though during single-tyre inflations, heat build-up was minimal. It only became an issue when the pump was used repeatedly, close to its full battery capacity, or in more intensive test conditions.

Prestaflator GO – Verdict
At £100, the Prestaflator GO sits in line with other premium portable inflators, matching the retail price of both the Topeak E-Booster and the Muc-Off AirMach Pro. All three offer similar battery capacity, though the Muc-Off falls slightly behind in usability due to awkward button placement and a less convenient screen position.
Where the Prestaflator GO stands out is in its simplicity. It’s easy to set up, intuitive to operate, and doesn’t need to be held during inflation. Battery life and inflation speed are on par with the competition, but the user-friendly design gives it a clear edge.
