In Shrewsbury at the weekend there was a ‘mass’ ride organised with a focus on encouraging children to ride bikes – the event was called ‘Kiddical Shrews’. It looks like over 200 people took part and seems to have been a great success.
All good stuff.
However, one councillor (Richard Marshall) has made the following comments –
“Let’s not forget however important it is to keep the roads safe for all users, in a rural county the car is the most used and most important mode of transport”

Ironically the councillors’ ‘job’ is “Portfolio Holder – Highways and Regulatory Services”.
