So, at the weekend my multisport 102kg frame combined with my 32mm Conti CX SpeedKings for a catastrophic rear blow out on a forestry road descent. I could just go slower and pick a better line, I could loose weight although other sports would suffer or I could change my tyre choices.
I like continenetal so I was looking at the terra speed but I am not sure whether to go for the 40mm or the 35mm version. I ride a merida silex and do a 50/50 mix of on road and offroad in a ride. I wonder of anyone else had thoughts on whether I should go big and pad my ride or could get away jst 3 more mm and prioritise speed on the road.
