Sram red etap hrd sticky lever

I have had these for 3 yrs now, and the left hand lever returns slowly. It is much worse if I have the reach adjusted in, as I do for my small hands. I have read and seen videos of earlier sram levers having a sticky cylinder plunger, but can't find how to strip these levers. Sram produce a manual for the callipers, and removing the electric shifter unit, but not stripping the cylinder. Any ideas or links please
