    I’d be interested to know who wins the road.cc comps that appear regularly on the site. They’re always front and centre before the comp closes, understandable as no doubt the company giving away some stash wants a bit of publicity in return, but there’s rarely anything after. It would be nice to actually see/celebrate the winners.

    In the meantime, shout up if you’ve ever won something…

    Fair enough. I can’t recall seeing a news story like that on the main road.cc page though, if that’s what you mean by ‘top of the site’. Hence my post.

    I think everyone should stop entering apart from me and then we’ll know for sure if they’re genuine. Promise to report back on results.

    I’ve entered a few, won zip. To be honest, most are of zero interest, such as the recent Absolute Black wax. I’d not be too surprised if stuff like that went unclaimed.

    The lack of commenters is fuelling my theory – that comps are a swizz, simply clickbait and a bit of advertising. Surely at least one person who has won one of the regular comps on road.cc reads the forum every now and then, and can be bothered to post about it..?

    No, it made it home, after a couple of short test rides I decided that it wasn’t really for me (the shape of the inflation unit part sits at the back of your neck meaning it’s best suited to an upright riding style) and I redonated it to a worthy recipient.

    Many years ago I won one!  It

    Many years ago I won one!  It was in association with the Spin cycling festival on a year it was twinned with the London Coffee Festival; I won a Hövding inflatable helmet and a few other goodies, and had a nice morning wandering around looking at some beautiful bikes buzzing my ears off from a bit too much top-quality coffee. 😀
