    i dont get why he wants to be so involved in stuff like this. Leave it to the ticket people to fine people not meant to be in there. That being said, i couldnt stay as calm as he does. I go into complete fight or flight when people get out their cars to ”chat” to me.

    Well, unless there’s some weird porn definition out there that I didn’t find, apparently its a way of saying that someone is crying out “You shall not pass!”.

    (The beard, robes, and staff are optional, I gather, and you can do it in all sorts of circumstances, not just when crossing the bridge of Khazad Dum…)

    These kind of whatabout-isms crop up on any discussion about closing streets to cars. It’s usually able-bodied people citing it because they are incredibly lazy and don’t GAF about anyone else or taxi drivers pretending they are a public service when in fact many of them drive so badly they become a public nuisance.

    I don’t want a “moderate” number of cars around me, I’d rather take my chances with moronic phone-gazing pedestrians. They don’t weigh 3 tonnes, are usually doing 3mph not 35, and don’t spew petrochemical fumes everywhere. Cycling with vehicles accelerating past (or waiting in a queue) is like having a smoker exhale in your face every few seconds.

    always mixed feelings about Cycling Mikey’s activities around the London parks. 
    I wonder how the Police “words” with Mr Purple Top went.
    My sense was that he was conflicted – wanted to have a go at Mikey, to win, but didn’t want to hang around and dig deeper the hole he got himself  into, e.g. the “South African” jibe. Not sure where he thought he might be going with that one.

    If he drove in to park, there seemed to be plenty of spaces behind?  
    I guess Mikey only shares the cream of the nob crop. 
    I love the inconsequential YouTube comments – “that ambulance is always parked there”. 

    btw, Twitter has now worked-out that as well as being a Remainer, I’m also a cyclist and has linked me to follow Jeremy Vine – interesting, tempting, but I just don’t have the time!  I mention him here because with people who have lost an argument you sense them get desperate and really clutch at straws and/or find some vulnerable human shield for themselves.

    I do get it – like me he’s pissed off with drivers who cannot and will not obay the law and who are prepared to put other road users lives at risk because of their selfish level of entitlement.

    He was a bit pissed he had to come to a halt for a driver to ignore a road closed sign. No doubt this sort of thing occurs multiple times in a day for him.
