New BB30/PF30 bottom bracket

    After a bit of advice really, my bike originally came BB30, but after having a creak I took my bike into my LBS, they replaced by bottom bracket with a cheap FSA PF30 unit without telling me of the change. This change was made in February, one of the bearings has already given up the ghost after just under 550miles, so to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. My frame has an area for muck to come in where the internally routed cables exit the frame, so ideally any replacement would be relatively well sealed, their was a bit of grime around the bearings when I took them out.

    Has anyone got a particular BB30 or PF30 bottom bracket they can recommend? I’m not looking at spending a fortune like the Chris King unit I’ve seen for £165.

    I know their are conversion kits to turn a BB30 shell to work with Shimano Hollowtech that seem durable from the customer reviews, but don’t want to go through the cost of replacing my chainset as well.

    I’ve had Wheels which was OK

    I’ve had Wheels which was OK on the CX bike. Also had a Hope PF 30 on the MTB which screws together with a fancy tool, and also presses the bearings in. That outlasted the frame, though I did press new bearings in when I built it into the new frame.

    I had several pf 30 bottom

    I had several pf 30 bottom brackets of varying prices.  All creaked after a couple of hundred miles.  I fitted the wheels manufacturing one last year and still silent after 2000 miles.

    For the Ninja option I’d have to look at the 30mm spindle.
