    Hi all,

Please be gentle…I’m new here. If I ask a question that seems to have an obvious answer please treat me with kindness!!

I’m interested in the new Kona Libre AL which has 45 mm tyres.

Ideally I’d like to use narrower, nobblier tyres than the wider, smoother roling ones it comes with.

Is it OK to put something like a WTB Riddler 37 or Schwalbe G-One 38 on the Kona’s rims?

    Thanks in advance.

I realise that my original mge might cause confusion. I was thinking that the Libre AL had fat slicks on them but they don’t…they’re knobbly. I’d still prefer thinner tyres though.

I’m sure you could use the tyres you mentioned, but I’d give the originals a red-hot go first, seeing you’ve already paid for them.
