Bar end shifters / MTB mech

    Hi all I’m building a bike that will be used on/off road with drop bars and the bike already has an SRAM x5 10speed rear mech and SRAM x5 cranks.  Am looking for bar end shifters that would work with them.  Any recommendations, as you can see by my kit I’m dipping my toe in the waters so wanted an entry level setup to feel how it would all work.

    I was hoping that an SRAM bar end shifter would work with it.

    I’m using a SRAM s500 bar end

    I’m using a SRAM s500 bar end shifter (11sp) with an 11sp Apex rear mech on a converted gravel bike, with excellent results.  I think the key is that both components use 1:1 “Exact Actuation” which governs the cable pull.  Any SRAM parts marked as Exact Actuation should play nicely together.

    Google suggests x5 also uses Exact Actuation, so you should be ok
