    I know this isn’t on a bike but we often read here things like “Why wasn’t he charged with attempted murder” and the likes when driving charges are brought forward in relation to deliberate assualts with a vehicle.

    Well in this case it was an attempted murder charge later reduced to an assault, so not only is he not jailed he has only a 6 month driving ban, despite deliberatly driving into someone

    I wouldn’t worry, there is not a good reason to read the Daily Record.

    It’s the same with all the provincial papers. Your point does still stand though.
