login problems/bizarreness

I just found myself logged out and had to log in again. First thing was that my log in details weren't remembered, and I had to input the password manually, nor was the new fpbe addition to name remembered. Second was that the stories were all dated at 1 yr 2 mths old. Thirdly the page title wasn't //road.cc but //staging.road.cc. Anyone else getting these problems or should I put down the weed? Password has obviously now been changed.

Cheers Janusz, that makes sense now you explain. it was all a bit surreal as the posts were all from the same dude and nothing more than random letters as posts, proably a test area that I stumbled across.

It’s your browser, or related software in your computer, that can fetch your password from storage. The website can only remember your preferences (by requesting the cookies stored in your computer).
You were on the road.cc website. Some glitch, maybe in your browser, sent you to the staging section. (I noticed that when I typed “staging” in my browser, it suggested staging.road.cc, so I’ve been there before too. There may be valid links to the staging area. A staging area is, traditionally, where you put files before deploying them, but road.cc’s web weavers could keep anything there, maybe a stash of bicycle pr0n or a blacklist of forumites who are to be be driven mad slowly.)
