Bike hire in Essex, England

Hi All, I have a family member coming from Australia to ride London Revolution with me next year. Can anybody help with somewhere to hire a bike from for him in Essex, England or do you think it will be easier/ cheaper for him to bring his own bike over? Thanks for your help. Tim
