Hi All,
I got myself a new Canyon Ultimate CF SLX this summer for my 40th birthday, one minor irritation is the seatpost making a “ticking” noise occasionally when seated.
It’s a wedge based system on the Ultimate, suggesting no more than 2nm of torque.
For the first 1500km or so – using the red carbon Canyon supplied the bike with – it was silent. It then started making a clicking/ticking noise with increasing regularity, which I eventually identified as the seat post.
I took it out, gave it a clean and replaced it (this time with some Tacx carbon paste) which did the job for another ~1000ish km.
I’ve done this three times now, roughly once I month I have to re-seat the seat post. It’s hardly the end of the world, but it is a little irritating. Has anyone experienced similar issues or have a longer term solution?
Thanks,
