Exp. Advice: CAAD12 105 or Diamondback Podium

I am getting into collegiate criterium racing and I am searching for a bike to work up the ranks. I have narrowed it down to two bikes: Cannondale CAAD12 105 or a Diamondback Podium E’tape Disc. My LBS only carries the Cannondale and I love the ride … exceptionally smooth and quite aggressive; conversely, I have not ridden the Diamondback nor do I know much about the brand.

Any advice from experienced riders? The main differences include weight, material, and the groupset (which is the 105 disc brake version for the Podium). Thank you!
