How can I fit a bolt thu rear end road bike onto a QR-suited turbo trainer?

My wife's new bike has just arrived, a Wilier GTR SL Endurance Ultegra disc, and naturally like a lot of modern road bikes it has a bolt-thru rear end. What do we need to buy to fit it to our Elite Rampa smart trainer? Yes, although one that gets some people very upset. Anyway, its not the correct solution to your problem as you surmised.

Perfect, thanks. The fact it has no threads seems odd, but maybe that’s their way of dealing with the fact that different frames have different thread pitches.

I have the same trainer and

I have the same trainer and my bike has a thru axle rear.

Elite do an adaptor which is like a longer qr – it works but I don’t thinks it’s very good for the money.

I bought a kinetic thru axle from Evans but you have to make sure you get the right pitch on the thread. it’s a solid piece of kit and does different axle widths.

Google ‘kinetic thru axle ‘ and it should come up.

You do have to open the clamps on the trainer all the way but it does fit.
