Do any cheap fitness bands activate Strava?

    Hi all,

    My kids got some cheap fitness trackers off amazon for Christmas, only £22, which has, so far made them more motivated to do 10,000 steps a day and get outside. They can do a few nifty things like connect to an app, activate a phone camera, and read text message off the phone. There is an absolute plethora of these things about though.

    Can any of them start Strava up and get it going? I’d find that quite handy. Anyone know which cheap watch-style fitness trackers can integrate directly with Strava? I dont fancy spending £144 on a fitbit.

    A colleague at work has an

    A colleague at work has an AliExpress special – a chinese android sports-watch with GPS and heart rate which allegedly came with a free premium Strava subscription*,  and automatically uploads via your paired android phone.  Its closer to the fitbit in price than the £22 activity trackers though.

    * Just looked at his activity feed, he’s not got the premium logo so either the free premium period was short or non-existent, and incidentally his last activity (a “run”)** indicates the device is a Huami Amazfit Pace

    ** The “run” was flagged – except for a detour to outside Old Trafford, and a meandering squiggle inside the Lowry shopping centre it does seem to have a very close match to the route (and pace) of the Metrolink trams!
