Roads to avoid?

Just wondering if there any worse roads to ride / commute on than the Birmingham New Road & Wolverhampton Road from Brum into Wolves? Poorly maintained, badly designed roads, drivers who are basically oblivious to those on 2 wheels, cars parked on the few cycle lanes that are available, a new cycle lane that’s so lumpy and bumpy it makes me feel sick to ride on it (not to mention the broken glass & other road debris thrown up)…..are to mention a but a few of the delights that wait a cyclist venturing into the Blackcountry……got any that i shopuld avoid?

trust me, the roads in france

trust me, the roads in france are shocking, nothing has changed since I first started cycling there 27 years ago. You should think yourself lucky.lol

Seriously though, there should be a local charge on motorvehicles that pays for local road repairs, those using the roads the most/doing the most damage pay the most, let’s call it a congestion charge if you like…
