I did that ktache, ordered a JIS screwdriver from Japan. Odd thing is that it doesn’t seem to fit derailleur screws any better than a philips .

very +1 on the park CT-5, a portable workshop quality tool.  And I have a very retro early 90s Cool-Tool, and a practical size swiss army knife.

Would anyone know if I can buy one of those 8mm hex thay fits on a 6mm hex thingies?  Many tools have them, and they look incredibly loose-able, but I could not find them being sold seperatly.

And still looking for a JIS driver in a multitool.  Finally ordered my workshop one and it is hopefully wending it’s way from Japan.  My bikes have no crossheads, but many JISs.  I of course realise that the JIS is no longer the standard, but neither is Mr allen or phillips, name changes head seeminingly stays the same.

    I have tons of multi-tools,

I have tons of multi-tools – someone always seems to get me one for Christmas. My favourite is the Lezyne V10. I also have a soft spot for the Topeak mini 6; it’s just so tiny!

If you’re going for a Topeak, I would steer away from the ones that split in two – they’re really bulky when the two halves are mated together.

Mini 9 is a good call.

Mini 9 would be a good choice.

    I usually carry a Park CT-5 chain tool, spare quicklink and Lezyne SV5 (3, 4, 5 & 6mm hex, Phillips).

    Lots of Topeak fans,

Lots of Topeak fans, apparently đŸ™‚

I had an Ashima RiteToolz two-piece multi-tool too. The thing has two halves that slide into each other for storage. One half contains all the hex keys and screwdrivers, while the other is primarily a chain tool, but doubles as a tire lever and comes with a flat steel piece you can use as a spoke wrench or box wrench. The design has been rebadged by others; I know PRO have a version of it.

It’s decent, but the hex key/screwdriver side has a habit of loosening its pivots over time from vibration in my saddle bag. The Topeak Hexus II I have is ultimately better and more solid, even though it’s a little bulkier overall. So nice, I bought it twice (one for my other bike).

Best one I’ve had is from Topeak also, really good quality but inexpensive.  Think it’s the Mini 20.
